Stars as Jadzia Dax on DS9. Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Farrell signed on with the Elite modelling agency at 16 and has appeared on the covers of Mademoiselle and Vogue. Her first TV role was the short-lived series Paper Dolls (with Jonathan Frakes ) and the Pilot of Red Dwarf. She also appeared in an episode of the reincarnated The Twilight Zone, and guest starred on The Cosby Show, Family Ties, and Quantum Leap. Films include Back To School (with Rodney Dangerfield), Beverly Hills Madam (with Faye Dunaway), The Deliberate Stranger (as a victim of Ted Bundy, who was played by Mark Harmon), and Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (in which she was spotted by TNG Producers Rick Berman and Michael Piller). She was a Star Trek fan when she was a little girl, and even owned a tribble. Other coincidences: She knew Michael Dorn prior to getting the role, and she and Marina Sirtis have a mutual friend. She lives in Los Angeles with her dog, Freckles.
